HBD to Joseph-Marie Jacquard, who was born #OTD in 1752. In 1804, Jacquard transformed textile manufacturing with the Jacquard loom, which used a series of punched cards to automatically control intricate weaving patterns. Its use of punched cards inspired generations of computing pioneers.

Happy Birthday to Alan Turing, who was born on this day in 1912. Alan Turing introduced the concept of the universal computing machine, showing that a single machine could perform any computation that can be described by an algorithm. The ACM A.M. Turing Award was named in his honor.

HBD to Konrad Zuse, who was born today in 1910. Konrad Zuse built the Z3, the world's first fully operational, programmable digital computer. Zuse used binary code for his hardware, a breakthrough at the time. He later created Plankalkül, the world's first high-level programming language.
