Saddened to learn of the passing of Marjane Satrapi (1969-2026). Persepolis, a graphic memoir Satrapi wrote & illustrated, is a must-read for anyone looking to learn how Iran came to be the authoritarian theocracy it is today & what life was like there before & after the Shah was forced into exile.
