The WNBA has issued a statement in response to the WNBPA’s vote which says in part that the league strongly disagrees with the unions characterization of the current state of negotiations. Full statement:
WNBPA issues statement explaining the executive committee has been authorized via vote to call a strike "when necessary." Per the union 93% of players participated in the vote and 98% voted in favor of the decision.
