Remember when WLOS used to be headquartered right next door to the Grove Park Inn? The Battle House no longer exists, it was torn down by GPI more than 20 years ago, but imagine a whole network being in that relatively small space! This was my place to park when I worked at GPI 22 years ago

Walk Haywood Rd as well. Depending on your fitness level, you could start on the west end off Patton Ave, then go all the way down to New Belgium Brewing. About 4 miles total, lots of rewarding little places to stop along the way. Very flat. Maybe even park at NB, take an Uber to the starting point.

The Grand Bohemian was pretty much at ground zero of some of the worst damage in Asheville during Helene. It's now reopened after a significant restoration.

I bought one of these, I was 17. It cost like almost $700, and IMO, it was worth it! The anti skip feature, the fact that you could not only record songs, but rearrange tracks on a disc after recording them, I was in love. The only downside was that I bought it to run, and it was HEAVY.
