Made myself a brown sugar shaken espresso to sip on while I work. Forgot to add the cinnamon in before shaking so it didn't mix well. Hopefully that doesn't ruin it lmao

I don't often voice my displeasure with Youtube in general but... Jesus Christ, man. The general quality of YT video compression has just been going down for years. I generally already expect that watching videos of fighters will look like shit, but what is this mess? THIS is 1080p?!

Tried making my bf some of the foods I grew up eating. Including digging out my mom's Vatapá recipe from our Messenger Convo from 11 years ago. Along with that there is rice, beans (which he didn't get) and a potato & egg salad (with low fat mayo and other veggies lmao) Really nice dinner x)

BF asked me for pancakes. Even though I hadn't made any in years, I tried my best. Just glad they didn't come out undercooked in the middle. Was running out of honey, so they were drizzled with both honey and the salted caramel syrup I use for lattes lmao

Bf wanted some pasta for dinner, so I made simple beef sauce. Couldn't resist adding a teaspoon and a half of laoganma on top though. I love this stuff!

And here we have a cat in his natural habitat: clinging to his tiger boyfriend on the couch late at night. @hikaritiger.bsky.social doesn't look too amused though... @uemy.bsky.social did a great job capturing this moment haha (to be fair, he's been poking fun at how clingy I've been all the time).

While out of town, got to feed @hikaritiger.bsky.social things he'd always wanted to try and was never able to. He loved the Lo Mein most. I loved the Xiaolongbao. And thanks again to @uemy.bsky.social for having us over. We hadn't been able to hang out since October so this was really damn nice!

I lied. NOW it's the last drink lmao. Espresso martini. This'll let me know if it's even worth spending my time (and fancy coffee beans and liqueur) making it at home.

Last (I think) drink. A carajillo. Finishing the night with a coffee cocktail felt right! I do feel myself getting a bit buzzed but eh. Might just whip out the whisky when I get home. And don't worry, we're taking an Uber lol

And the last of the food (ordered these before my drink, but it took a while). Arancini and fish & chips! I do think I'll get another drink though.

And an old fashioned. Might be the drink I cap the night on. Or maybe one more after this if I'm still not buzzed. It sucks that I saved so much money for the bf's visit, but having my payment delayed twice this year made me scared to actually use that money.

Also bf's fruity lil drink. It's pretty good. They use way more strawberry than I usually do when I make it. It's fairly sweet, but for him who's not particularly used to the taste of alcohol, it's a perfect fit. The loud music is kinda growing on me.

It begins. Ordered a tasting line of different tap beers. Bf's drink didn't arrive yet (a strawberry sakerinha) but he did taste these with me. Shockingly, he liked the wine beer.

Made the bf and me french toast with the brioche from yesterday. Along with a drizzle of honey and some homemade raspberry jam. I burnt the toast ever so slightly, for which I'm still kicking myself, but it's plenty good regardless ^^'

Been a busy few days taking the bf to a bunch of places. Today we went to the Natural History Museum and then after to my favorite coffee shop. We ate there, but got some stuff to take home. This was the haul. Will probably use the brioche to make french toast later!

BF and I went to the zoo today. Some of my favorite pics of the day. I loved seeing how happy he was during the classes, holding the animals and whatnot. Even better, a lot of the employees spoke English and offered to show us around so Hika could understand! Love you @hikaritiger.bsky.social <3

I FINALLY MANAGED A GODDAMN HEART AAAAAAA

Shook it to incorporate and then poured over milk with more ice. The end result came out really good actually. Shockingly so. I did decide to use some caramel drizzle I had to fancy the cup up a bit though. I admit to being a bit pretentious What do I call this? A salted caramel shaken latte? Lmao

Turning mistake into opportunity. I didn't check before grinding my coffee and ground 30g of it on espresso setting. My usual espresso basket is made for a double (18g MAX), but I remembered I had a quad basket lying around. Pulled the shot, threw it in a cocktail mixer with ice, vanilla and syrup-

So many hours of my day today were dedicated to finally reclaiming my wardrobe. I had 12+ years of piled up clothes, because whenever I gained weight I'd just buy new ones without throwing away the old ones. I finally sorted through it all and donated most of it. It finally all fits inside again!

Had this in the works before making up my mind to switch to Basil. Glad to see this as the sunset piece to Basket! Basket as a sexy barista sure is a sight! Giving it to you nice and hot! Maybe I'll get a Basil version too... Thank you so much, @briarsthorne.bsky.social for the amazing piece! <3

Ordered myself some cheaper cups with a better shape and size for latte art. My first attempt at using them was today. Not only do they retain heat way better than my old ones, but they make pouring WAY easier. My old ones really were the worst case for this application...

I was originally going to wait until I had a ref sheet to debut Basil, but while shopping for new clothes, I ordered some Henley shirts (always wanted them but finding in my old size was rough). Found one that's almost the same as Basil's, so I dressed up as him and... Yeah. I'm so happy with it...

And a very cute bust that @tohfu.bsky.social drew for me very impromptu when I was all excited showing him Basil. Thank you so much for letting me gush about my new sona, and for the amazing art. I'll be using it as my pfp for the foreseeable future <3

Haven't felt super connected to my sona/Basket in a while. From growing older and being less emotionally like he's portrayed, but my weight loss and body changes accentuated that a lot. My bf @hikaritiger.bsky.social helped me work on a new one I identify more with. Meet Basil!
