Happy 91st Birthday to Wendella Boats. It's first home was at Navy Pier on Lake Michigan, then eventually moved in 1938 to its current location on the Chicago River near the Wrigley Building. The original spelling of the boat was Wendela...with one "L".

This weekend, it's the Race To Mackinac. The world's largest annual offshore race with 260 entries going 333 stature miles...and it all started in 1898. Keep your eyes to Lake Michigan on Friday afternoon and on Saturday in the middle of the day from the Chicago shoreline.
