Opening the mail today I found this bad boy. LOOK AT HIM HE'S AS LONG AS MY FOREARM.

Hi I'm Becky and I'm an Oregon transplant gay. I love living in Massachusetts but sometimes I miss really specific PNW shit that doesn't exist here. This is a thimbleberry.

A sprig of unripe white-ish thimbleberries that has been plucked and laid out on a large green leaf alongside a handful of red, ripe, picked fruits of the same plant. The ripe fruits are cap-shaped and look a little like a tiny knit beanie made with textured red yarn. They are very similar to raspberries in appearance but are velvety instead of shiny, less plump or juicy-looking, and the interior surface is wide and shallow. You could wear one on your fingertip, hence the name.

Any rock nerds want to help with an identification? This piece came in a lot, Mohs tests variable between emerald and jadeite depending on the touch point. Maybe it's shattuckite, maybe it's a fancy turquoise, maybe it's crap (but I doubt it).

My right wrist measures 7.5" with a measuring tape, it goes on nicely and is an Exact Fit (not too snug, just a tiny bit of wiggle). It doesn't fit on my left wrist, which is slightly larger. Feels very nice on, good weight.
