Friendly exchange with India's Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal on the EU–India trade agreement. 🗓️We agreed to push for a swift ratification and to stay closely engaged on implementation. 🌍A geopolitically vital deal—covering a market of two billion people.

Yesterday @inta.europarl.europa.eu exchanged with minister Helen McEntee on priorities Irish presidency. We look forward to continue building an ambitious, open, value-based and rules-based trade policy with WTO reform at its core. Crucial will be to advance agreements with Indonesia and India.

✅It's done! The European Parliament has just voted in favour of implementing the EU–US deal. Under considerable pressure, we secured important guardrails to keep European interests on track. One thing is certain: we will stay on it and keep a close watch on the implementation.

One year after so-called “Liberation Day”, it’s clear: this has turned into a “Tariff Chaos Day". Legal uncertainty-highlighted by the Supreme Court ruling-and current transition phase are hurting businesses&trust. This is the cost of unilateralism. We need rules-based trade.
