I asked the project manager if I could have a cutting of the crepe myrtle tree they cut down today. He was very nice and sawed off a couple of twigs. They're currently sitting in some water. I'm going to put them in some soil in a tin can and see what happens. ⭕️ We really have gone full circle. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It was a stunning shade of pink when it bloomed. As part of the town upgrade that they settled on in 2020 and after heaps of $$$ being paid to consultants for the town masterplan, we're getting a performance stage. 🙄

The vet wouldn't keep her. 😡 But a young couple are going to take her in. Hopefully she'll have a lovely home. 🖤

We saw the little cat that tried to follow us again today 2 lovely teenage girls were concerned for it's welfare. We all suspect it may have been dumped. They managed to scoop it up & take it to the vets to see if it was microchipped & belonged to someone. I'll call the vet tomorrow & ask after it.

Long enough for the elected officials to have left office. Plenty of time for consultants to cash in on strategic planning committees, public consultations & reconceptualisation task forces. It should be good, it's costing X million dollars. 🤪

It's mostly cosmetic to fix the uneven pavers. It's the 1st stage of the masterplan they announced in 2020 which won't be delivered until 2037. 🙄

The kitty followed us a fair distance and I stopped a few times hoping it would lose interest. After 20 minutes I called my son (who was already in bed 💤) he replied with a text.

We had to wait ages for the little kitty to lose interest. I was worried he'd follow us up the ramp. I didn't want it getting close to the highway.
