Today, the Supreme Court rejected Donald Trump’s attempt to rewrite the 14th Amendment and end birthright citizenship. Maryland is home to hundreds of thousands of immigrant families, and today’s decision means their children’s citizenship isn’t up for debate.

Four years ago today, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade – reversing nearly 50 years of established reproductive rights. My daughter now has fewer rights than I did when I was her age. Protecting these freedoms demands our vigilance. The work continues. Elections matter.
