I have the classiest neighbors. Not only were they doing car repairs in the cul-de-sac in front of my driveway, one of the kids was just casually playing with a lighter and a spray paint can.
Whoo I just put in a new plant stand and this corner is really coming together.
I'm really happy with how this little lantern ended up looking! Probably going to try it in a few places but I am digging it.
Can't function enough for work today thanks to allergies so I have been working on a lamp project on and off. When this is done it's going to look really nice.
I'm not sure if hanging a picture has gotten easier or more complicated.
Hot pepper oil noodles; possibly the best vegan dish I know how to make. Ramen noodles tossed in a chili, shallot, garlic, and scallion oil sauce with soy sauce and black vinegar, topped with fresh scallions. My kingdom for some bok choy, but it was still pretty great.
Wheeee I got a signed They Might Be Giants poster! Can't wait to get it hung!
I made a little salad. Smoked salmon over romaine, carrots, scallions, and jalapenos, dressed with a sweet miso and ponzu vinaigrette topped with wasabi furikake.
I spent a fair amount of time today working on my home services stack. I've been fixing years worth of tech debt.
And after the cookies for breakfast I made Dandan noodles for lunch. ^_^
Starting my last day of my short vacation by making molasses cookies. ^_^
I bought a couple new plants for my lounge yesterday and managed to get them potted today. The little Sugo palm is adorable somehow. ^_^
I got kinda chefy with lunch. Home made Garlic Caeser dressing, quick pickled shallots, toasted herb bread crumbs, bacon, shaved Parmesan, carrot curls.
I made ramen! Griddled bossam pork, yuzu kosho and sweet miso glazed carrots and shallots, and scallions in a broth of chicken, pork, lemongrass, and dashi.
The drinks at Huña were phenomenal. Their Mai Thai was fabulous, and the Coconut mocktail that I tried was quite excellent too.
I managed to do a little photography on campus this week. Everything is blooming and this is one of my favorites that I took.
I know it's a little silly, but I am rather excited to play with this with people.
I was sitting in my back yard last night and I found myself wondering if my tree could support a tire swing...
I got this lovely piece of art from @kbooki.bsky.social of me and @bunnyfrilly.bsky.social who's a frequent hypnosis subject of mine. I've spent the last couple of months helping make sure she feels the tug of little space strongly on her Disney World trip; Kbooki translated it to art fabulously!
Sometimes a simple sandwich done with really good ingredients is the best meal.
