Where chemistry meets the bottom of the humour barrel.
Been a busy week in Canberra. Beautiful weather, lovely people, old friends and family. And then tmrw I fly out and leave my baby girl behind as she opens up the next chapter of her life studying at ANU. I didn’t know it was possible to be so excited and sad at the same time. 😂
Over the years, ChemScrapes has got involved with a number of projects as a way of giving back to the community. Out in the wild you will see many cartoons and drawings on covers, opinion pieces, abstracts, congratulatory cards, etc. it’s fun! 1/3
So, last week I found out someone created a ChemScrapes Wikipedia page. I was surprised because actually I didn’t think it would meet notability standards. Sure enough it doesn’t, and the page has warnings all over it. Then, midweek I found out that the page has been marked for deletion 1/2 #chemsky
Give me liberty, or give me chemistry! Actually, you can have both. #chemsky #chemchat #4thofJuly
I know this is early for my US friends, but Happy Independence Day to you all. #chemsky #community #chemchat
I should really be asleep because I have work tomorrow. So here is one I prepared earlier
If you find yourself fantasising about deliberately telling a colleague driving past in a full carpark that you are not leaving, and then driving off as soon as they move away - maybe it’s time for a holiday
If you feel like things are getting on top of you, then slow down, acknowledge the fact, and breath. Use your resource people and get get some solvation energy. No-one expect you to do it on your own. This has been a ChemScrapes community service announcement. #chemsky #chemchat #wellbeing
