M20, the Trifid Nebula. 15 minutes on the Dwarf Mini in partly cloudy skies. So easy! A few edits in the Dwarf app.
No special tripod head needed as long as it can tilt. Although I haven’t tried EQ mode yet. I do have a Neweer TH15, but it may be overkill. I’ll let you know.
I got home and saw stars, so ran out with the new Dwarf Mini to my light polluted driveway to see what was overhead to run a quick exposure. This is a brief 15 minute view of the Hercules cluster M13. I’m going to like this.

Among the obvious reasons this is horrible, it also doesn’t look good for me trying out my new Dwarf mini smart scope.

Hooking the phone to the scope is the easy part. I used an Orion SteadyPix Pro ages ago. There’s got to be upgraded devices by now. (Or maybe you’d like mine?)
