3️⃣ Thanks to the Anisakis genome... ▪️USC, with Dr Paulino Martínez, identified a panel of 500 genetic variants ▪️ IIM- @csic.es (Dr. Abollo and Pascual) analysed 2,000 specimens These efforts enabled the development of a low-cost molecular tool, making population surveillance studies more effective

2️⃣ The major contribution 🔬 To address this challenge, CNAG has assembled the most complete genome to date of 'Anisakis simplex', the species most widespread along the Spanish coastline 🎯 This new resource will improve parasite monitoring across both the fishing industry and the seafood supply chain
