Look, Silver Surfer fighting (not quite) Satan is not appropriate reading for a 3 year old. But that Buscema art was fascinating. Much of the book was Kirby, and I could follow what was happening without reading. But that story, I had no idea. And my parents wouldn’t read it to me! For good reason!
Love this result from the latest Gallup series on abortion attitudes. The terms "pro-life" and "pro-choice" are not nearly as meaningful to the public as we'd like them to be.
Put aother way: of voters who live in municipalities that are 1% Black, or less, only 11% say that their schools are segregated. There's just no effect of the actual proportion of Black and Hispanic residents on views of segregation.
New Jersey voters are in deep denial as to how segregated our towns and schools are. We're one of the most segregated states in the country, and people just... don't think it's happening.
