The water is final not as cold as fuck now. This is literally 50 ft from my house. Friends come visit me while you can. This shit lasts until like mid September at best. 😅
Not perfect, but all the scratches are gone! Most were superficial. The actual gouges were filled with leather paint and sealed. I may use these as a canvas for a shoe painting project... I kinda dont vibe with white shoes. They get dirty so fast.
I'll do a before and after on these docs. I'm gonna clean em up.

I will be making a video about this machine, but I wanted to show a preview. I found this Singer 47w56 on fb marketplace. You don't find these machines anymore. This model variation is particularly rare. Litterally nothing online besides old manuals and one forum post.
I realize the table can be disassembled... I did remove the head when I grabbed it but I was looking at the whole table after trudging down 3 flights... "oh wait I can disassemble this bitch..."
I have been very lucky with quarter sawn oak pieces lately. Found this at a thrift store in Oak Park while out picking up my record table from a repair shop. 15 bucks. You cant buy the raw wood that cheap.

A singer 600e from the late 60s. My sister expressed interest in learning to sew. I have been keeping an eye out for work horse machines at thrift stores. This has a lot of the modern functions with all steel construction and more for $35! Just need to buy a new power cord and clean/grease her.

At some point someone added box inserts into the mail holding drawers made of old fruit boxes. I am keeping this in the piece. The story it tells is just as important as the function. This will be a tool sorter for me. I will add foam inserts to hold tools in place inside the fruit boxes.
The piece in question. It took several hours of cleaning and then a coat of tung oil to get her back to this shape (hence the sheen). This is a Macey Co mail sorter. Likely 1910s? All quarter sawn oak. I saw this on the thrift store floor and jumped. Lol
"FOR BOOTIN UP COLD!" Season 1 cast is almost complete. Hoping we get an Airazor soon.
