One of the coolest things I have done to date is write a short story called “There’s An Alien in My Basement” drawn by Riley Rossmo and colored by @inakiazpiazu.bsky.social that story will be available again next week in EC’s Cruel Universe Volume 2 from @oni-press.bsky.social! Check it out!

Did I also film a video asking you to order the book? You bet I did. I’m really excited about this. And to get to write Batman the same year I’m doing my first creator owned book? I’m unbelievably happy with this development.

Today is the FOC date for Detective Comics Annual 2026. The main story is by the phenomenal team of @tomtaylormade.bsky.social, @nicolascottart.bsky.social, and Annette Kwok. I was very fortunate to write a back-up story for the issue illustrated by Fran Mariscal, who you're going to love.

Fiddlehead’s new EP Baby I’ll Change is fantastic. Such a stellar listen, all three songs hit hard and provide an immense amount of introspection and catharsis.

Having a big new stack of comics in the summer? It’s been one of the best things my whole life and continues to be.

It’s Trish and Harvey’s last day before their final battle and both of them will be confronted with things from their past.

The Criterion Channel added so many movies I want to watch and or rewatch this month. First up was Walker directed by Alex Cox which I’ve wanted to watch forever. Great Ed Harris, great Peter Boyle, and a far from subtle, aggressively direct, sometimes hilarious and still very necessary.

Taking a look back to my time as an editor...I'm delighted that one of my favorite books I ever worked on, Batman: Urban Legends has an OMNIBUS out today. I never expected that in my wildest dreams. We used so many characters in that book, worked with so many great creators, and had the best time.
