Me in my Happy House. I'm writing a 4th novel. What's that that you say? Fourth novel? You think I only have one? No, no, only one was published. Two will stay on my hard drive. Shopping one around now. Btw, hubby designed & built my lil house. Should I be concerned with the yellow wallpaper?
Garden fresh peppers and cucumbers with capers, figs, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds. The dressing is a missile dressing from The New York Times. Alas, no lettuce.
Joan Sebastian Guerrero (via NYT via his FB page) and ICE's horror (via NPR, photo credit Robert F. Bukaty, AP). A beautiful young man with a nearly perfect smile. I keep thinking about these two images, side by side, two different articles. I'm so worried that there'll be no recourse, no justice.
Ducks! Duck eggs! These are a friendly poet's pets. He and his wife get to hold the ducks. Lucky couple. Lucky ducks! The ducks like fresh sorrel and praise.
Murder fluff killed again. This time, he tried to consume the whole mouth, then got sick on the ride. No, my house is not messy. It's just 170 years old.
You can find this poem in my collection Peculiar Heritage, available from @masonjarpress.bsky.social, or ordered from your favorite indy bookstore.

This is one of my favorite albums of all time. My husband, who first got into a real conversation with me because of my Billie Holiday shirt, introduce me to Sonny Rollins' music. Of course I had to marry the man with good music taste! May Mr. Rollins rest in peace.
Had a great time typing poems on demand with friends at Bow Market Book Fair in Somarville! As usually when I do these poetry on the fly things, we have a line. A long line. The weather was warm-ish, but got progressively colder.
This dress, though! Gorgeousness! Image from @nytimes.com "2026 Bafta Film Awards: Looks from the Red Carpet."
Thank you, Ilze! I still can't get over the conglomeration of cultures and past atrocities in Julie Iromuanya's A Season of Light.
First day of Spring 2026! The USA is an embarrassment and the fascists are at large in MN, IL, and D.C., &etc. but there's learning about writing to be done! We must create! Art now more than ever!
It's a viola. It's jazz. It's jazz viola! blog.fitchburgstate.edu/fitchbyrds-m...
After a hard day of begging and eating and trying to get outside, Alyosius takes a nap.
My little artists/writers at the Massachusetts Indy Comics Expo, or MICE, selling their wares at the Youth Artist Table! I love them both so much. And they're not that little. They are teenagers who are taller than me, but really, they will always be little to me!
Since you're not doing to the contest of which Prof is witch, here's me!
