I meant to post this last month, but we are playing the “WTF is on my camera roll” game in the group chat and I remembered. Anyway. The picture that 1310 The Ticket used in their Summer Chill 2026 promos was not mine, but Gordo was definitely motioning to me (Summer Chill 2025).
WTF is going on It’s July. It’s Texas. It’s before sunset.

Old Blanco County Courthouse, Blanco TX. Built in 1886, it only served as the courthouse until 1890 when the county seat was moved to Johnson City (haunted). It's been used as an office building, school, bank, restaurant, and hospital. It's currently used for special events and I think that's nice.
Guys. I’m having as much fun with the World Cup as the next gal, but this is worse than Men Walking content. You want me to tune in to watch buses navigate Dallas traffic?
Reminds me of the time I introduced my dog to a chicken
Know thine enemy, sir Even their weird corkscrew dicks
@suge-white.bsky.social there’s one in Lake Dallas, too! 🦖 You better appreciate this because I had to do two, maybe 3 searches in Google photos to find this!
I’ve decided to feature these historic courthouses alphabetically. I hope to post one full-building, close-up, grounds, & local feature. There are lots of war memorials on & around these courthouses. I will not feature any Confederate memorials or statues. Have a dinosaur instead.
Archer County Courthouse, Archer City TX. Built in 1891, rededicated in 2005. Used to have a tower, but was removed in 1926 (booo!). Archer City is in North Central Texas & was the setting for the 1971 film Last Picture Show.
My coworker seeing one of my courthouse wallpapers & asking me what the building is.
My whole thing is that there’s nothing wrong with the AAC. It’ll be a shorter drive for me too, but also no trains and no chance for this again.
While fb is fairly useless now, back then it was the main thing. And it’s been kinda fun following along with my posts from that run. Y’all remember when Dallas had a basketball team? That was so much fun. #GoMavs
