5,000 subscribers 🎉 Thanks everyone! I took a risk on pivoting to a different type of storytelling this year, and I'm so grateful for everyone following along. Lots more to come! www.youtube.com/@dreamwieber
We have a new oak woodland. We hired our restoration contractor James to do some work for a day, and he discovered some oaks very close to the orchard. There's us now a gigantic burn pile, but the oaks have been freed up and it's very beautiful in here.
My favorite part of going up to the goat pasture to change out their water :)
I know Idiocracy was all about Brawndo, but the reflecting pool has me thinking of a different popular 90s drink.
It was Colleen's birthday tonight so I made Ottolenghi's Hasselback Beets, and (Vegan) Potatoes Gratin. The kids picked a beautiful arrangement of flowers from the garden. And I nailed a non-dairy tiramisu.
The beach really alters your brain chemistry. Also, Oregon is ridiculously beautiful.
Absolutely blown away at how Moe (or robotic mower) has kept the orchard maintained this year. This is a great spot for yoga.
Mixed with eggs, spices — one half with mayo and mustard, Colleen's with a cashew yogurt. Some herbs from the garden (dill, parsley). Panko, fried like cakes in butter.
Rare find at the market: super nice looking lion's mane. Chopped roughly and sautéed
These Peonies came with the farm, but they only showed themselves after we finally got the grass and weeds under control. Now I'm super happy every year when they bloom.
The roses are all blooming. I forget which ones these are but they have the most incredible scent and IRL their color is incredible.
