She was wonderful. Called her Beatrice, cause she was French and she was curved. Here she is, looking magnificent.
Thought we’d sit in the garden and enjoy the sun. Bad smell coming from somewhere, looked around and found it (grim), poor foxy. Bagged it up, took it to the tip, they wouldn’t have it “You’ll have to call a vet or something” (“Erm, think it’s passed that!”…nothing). Grateful for communal bins.
I read this to Thing 1 a few years ago, I’m now reading it to Thing 2; it’s brilliant. Genuinely brilliant. I think it’s in the top 3 books I’ve read to my kids.
Yes. Yes I do. I’ve a few of them that are the same (design? shape?) and they’re definitely my favourite ones. There’s others in the drawer that I actively dislike, and one in particular, this one, that I cannot stand.
She came to Brighton in November 2021, I think it was my first time out (Covid pass and everything, remember them?). She was magnificent. Utterly magnificent. I hope you enjoy it.
