In a world that can sometimes feel a little fragmented, finding spaces where people come together with purpose and kindness feels like stepping into a hidden realm. That’s why I’m so excited to be volunteering for Dublin 2029.

Thank you to everyone that took part in this year’s all-hands, both in-person and online! Over the weekend we’ve planned heists, created stories, explored Dublin, and even discussed the con. We hope everyone is filled to the brim with new ideas and excitement, and remember - Always Be Con-running ☘️

It feels especially fitting as we look ahead to Worldcon coming back to Dublin - from ancient legends whispered beside peat fires to starships and speculative futures, Ireland has always known how to dream big.

Today we celebrate Irish imagination, at the crossroads lit by our stories, and the long tradition of asking “what if?”—from mythic heroes crossing strange worlds to modern Irish science fiction and fantasy writers exploring galaxies, time loops, and stranger realms still.
