Art by Zdzisław Beksiński 1929-2005, Polish painter, sculpter, photographer. I first saw his work growing up and left a big impression.
I guess they have to scrounge up money somewhere. I’m still sad that our nearly finished Netflix version of Thirsty Suitors got axed along with a bunch of other games with the executive shift couple of years ago.
I’m still not sure what part of the vegetable aisle is Asian Inspired.
A clip of one of our playtests this week from our Godot project. Lots of temp art and UI and iterating fast on the design. Multiplayer was relatively fast to get up and running.
Sometimes I'll do a quick blocking in editor with simple geo or existing art to layout an idea, setup a camera, and run around to see if it could work. Concept paintover by @vijaykrish.bsky.social and 3d models by @emmakoch.bsky.social
these were my quick ugly sketches for cooking flow in Dosa Divas and the beautiful player facing food illustrations by @vijaykrish.bsky.social
Two months in Godot and it's great. The integration of script, objects, signals and how well they work together means I'm writing and extending gameplay code and shaders (badly) while doing art and design work. Things seem so much faster for dev but it could also be our small multiplayer project.
Dosa Divas is featured on Switch 2 and is 10% off until tomorrow 👀 www.nintendo.com/us/store/pro...
We make games about food and cooking to connect with people. store.steampowered.com/app/2950710/...
I love finding random clips in my capture folder. This was from late '23 so must've been for some Dosa character ideas. The performance and animation work is Elegance!
Food represents culture, traditions, and history. You can trace immigration around the world on how certain foods has changed and been adapted by generations of settlers. Food can also be commodified, stripped of it's context and credit to appeal to a mass populace. Anyways, dosas are delicious.
This somehow feels like an AI version of skin lightening cream. I'm both horrified and confused.
It’s still feels very special seeing our game on a Nintendo console. Dosa Divas is our first game on Switch 2. It’s also launching on Switch, PlayStation 5, Steam, and Xbox on April 14th.
Not doing April Fools stuff but here are some images from various porotypes and game ideas we've messed around with for the last six years. All different genres from playable prototypes to full on demos that we're still developing and pitching. Art by the very talented @vijaykrish.bsky.social
GAME GONE GOLD! Dosa Divas is past certification for Steam, Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox S/X and ready to launch on April 14th. ✨Wishlist Now!✨
No need for AI art. Anything can be temp assets during development even lawyers.
We cut a giant mole milking minigame feature from Dosa Divas earlier in production. Yeah one of the dishes you make in the underground town needed mole milk. Please wishlist and buy it when it comes out on April 14th so the mole can get milked. Thank you for understanding! 🙏🏾
Conversation with Ibram X. Kendi and Angela Rye and first topics are TSA, SAVE Act, remigration. Starting off strong.
Honk, cook, deliver gameplay loop. A food truck mech that can honk to take orders, cook, and then deliver to hungry villagers from our upcoming turn-based combat RPG, Dosa Divas. Ingredients are found in the world, reclaimed from battles, or bartered from a traveling merchant.
