Haha it isn't difficult, it just takes a lot of time and needs to be relatively well planned! I shared this on instagram so you can see how it starts: I painted the little shapes (they're on their own layer) doesn't matter the colour, locked layer transparency and painted them the main colour --

I had no recollection of this so I was surprised to (re)discover that one of my favourite lines from the movies is not actually said by Faramir but instead it's Sam thinking to himself:
