When the guy who got famous for playing a vampire is starring in a movie about a guy who was an influence on your vampire novel that dares to ask, what if a vampire fed entirely on incels?
I think more novels should have Greek tragedy type choirs telling the mc how badly they’re fucking things up so I’m going to be the change I want to see in the world. Anyway, this edit is going swimmingly, thanks for asking.

About 5k away from completing novel 4 which means I basically have three unsold novels now. One polished and two about to enter the editing process. I’m going to be pitching like buckets of water off a sinking ship at Printers Row in September. Taking a jackhammer to the ceiling. Whatever it takes.

Just a reminder that $5 for 3-6 thousand original words is insulting and means either a press has no intent of promoting and no hope of selling your work or they hope to exploit you mercilessly to make as much money as possible with almost none of it going to the people doing the work.
I’ve been reading a lot of Steinbeck. Working my way through all the novels I hadn’t already read and finished To a God Unknown today. I think it has a lot to say about American mythology that is extremely relevant today. THREAD

The vampire book is done. 2 years, drawn out by tragedy and health crises. Maybe that’s the crucible in which a vampire novel is best made. If so, I hope this is my only one.
The big pieces are all in place. The machete has returned to its lair. Now is the time of the scalpel. Last clean up edits and hopefully submission by the end of the weekend.
Voidcon 3 is done. I feel like each year is a refinement and so each year is the best year. We, and I mean every one of you who shared time with us, are why this community is special. Thank you. We are cocreating something unique and wonderful and I’m grateful for it and for you 🖤 my heart is full
