🐝The Five-banded Thynnid Wasp (Myzinum quinquecinctum) is a parasitoid wasp that targets scarab beetle larvae living underground 🕳️. Adults can often be found visiting flowers for nectar, while males are known to gather in communal roosts at night 🪻🌷🌻💤🌙. Photo creds to @jesss_bullock 📸

Have you seen the Monarch this year? Following their migration is a fun way to learn about their behaviours and identify where key areas of habitat exist. You can promote habitat for the Monarch by fostering milkweed and other native foraging plants at your home!

A spotted lanternfly specimen was recently discovered in St. Catharines. While this insect is not established in Ontario, early detection is critical to protecting local farms, vineyards, and trees. If you think you’ve spotted one, take photos, kill it immediately, and report it to the CFIA 🚨🪰
