Just finished YOU WEREN’T MEANT TO BE HUMAN by Andrew Joseph White and I am gonna need a minute. The writing is confidently intense and the audiobook performance is harrowing. I think it’s genius but is is a BRUTAL book. Check the content warnings.

I received one of these yesterday from someone who would have had my email in their inbox. When I clicked the link it wanted me to log in with my gmail. I immediately closed out and flagged it as suspicious. This feels like old school phishing. Almost quaint.

I usually wake up around 5 AM or so and let Roxy join us in the people bed for another hour or two. She doesn’t seem to mind. If I do nothing else in a day other than give my dog a good place to snooze for a little while, I don’t mind either.

Moments later, the little chocolate hat on top of my cone of soft serve slipped off and shattered on the sidewalk. Therein a difficult lesson: always eat the little chocolate hat on top first because you never know how slippery the soft serve is underneath.

PF: You should be able to tell if the wax has been leaking once you pull the toilet

PF: I mean fair... I wouldn't want to have to do it at my house.

Mary Berman isn’t on social media but her debut book UNTIL DEATH is out TODAY and it is banger! It is a darkly humorous literary horror novel about the wedding industrial complex. Say Yes to the Dress meets Rosemary’s Baby. It’s very good! You should read it!

I finished reading @wiswell.bsky.social ‘s newest - THE DRAGON HAS SOME COMPLAINTS - and am happy to confirm it has that Wiswell Magic. There’s humor and pulse-pounding dragon action but ultimately at its core is a big hearted exploration of surviving with old wounds that can never fully heal.
