We're now behind the two men, with Montresor on the left, turning again toward Fortunato with a concerned expression and putting a hand on his shoulder. Fortunato is looking down at that hand awkwardly. The torches are on the other side of of them so they're mostly in silhouette to us, but ahead of them we can see some of the walls and floor; the passage seems to be narrowing and there's an alcove ahead.
Montresor says: "Come. We will go back; your health is precious."

An excerpt from "The Cask of Amontillado" by Edgar Allan Poe, panel 1 of 9. I haven't read all of Poe, but as far as I'm concerned this is his funniest work. I'm doing this as my daily drawing practice for the next week or so.

Watching movies at the Frameline festival and doing time-limited drawings about them. Here's FLAMING CREATURES (1963). I felt bad about not liking this more, but I promise to try watching another Jack Smith film. [drawn in 23 minutes]

Maybe I'll start posting some more sketchbook/comics stuff here. I've been doing daily/semi-daily time-limited drawings, and now I'm watching movies at the Frameline festival, so here's one about the opening-night feature: LADY CHAMPAGNE (2026). [drawn in 21 minutes]

You know how sometimes you copy text from a webpage and some ad material shows up in the middle of it, so you end up with a nontraditional version of "O Death" that has a couple of jarring shifts in tone and subject (even though the first line of the ad weirdly has the right meter)?

Here's what you wrote. Nothing about commenting on homophobia. Just Thiel is gay and he's evil, and Vance is one of "his boys." Your other explanation, after someone asked, doesn't make it *not* inflammatory to talk this way. Which I guess you're going to keep on doing since you think it's so clear.

Perfect series of faces as Dern's character starts to realize "oh no, could it be... he just doesn't give a shit??"
