We are deeply concerned about the reported abduction of journalist Shelly Kittleson in #Baghdad. According to Iraqi sources, she is believed to be held by Kataib Hezbollah. We support the appeal by CPJ, RSF and the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation urging the US government to secure her release.

Last week’s killing of three journalists in southern #Lebanon by Israel is another devastating blow to press freedom. Journalists are civilians. Deliberately targeting them is a war crime. #JournalismIsNotACrime
