Thanks to your support, City Councillors are paying attention to our plan to #FixThe506. But without continued pressure, they might settle for little more than lip service to prioritizing public transit. 1/2

The laneways running through Ward 11 are some of the most underused public space in the city. With a little investment , they can be a source of community gardens, gathering spaces, and homes 🚏

Toronto needs a breath of fresh air. The greed of the fossil fuel industry and the apathy of our politicians has put us down this path. But changing course can start in our own backyard. Cities are the best example of how sustainable living can be more affordable for everyone 🌇

Toronto needs to prepare for a future where extreme heat is a regular occurrence. Access to cooling must be a right regardless of class or tenant status. Public spaces should be funded and maintained to give Torontonians options for keeping cool all summer long ⛱️

Today was a scorcher, and it looks like it’s not letting up the rest of the week! Take note of some public places to keep cool in and near Ward 11 University–Rosedale ☀️

Laneways in Ward 11 are underutilized public space, but need a little love from our municipal government to reach their full potential. Our neighbourhood needs a councillor who will sweat the small stuff for side streets: from snow clearing to community gardens 🚏

Sneaky Dee’s is saved. Now what? This is a win for everyone who showed up. But a bank stopping a demolition isn’t policy. Zoning forces development onto major streets, venues get insufficient support, and Sneaky Dee’s still has no heritage status. Demand systemic change.

WATCH: the announcement of my plan to speed up the 506 streetcar. This plan would create livelier neighbourhoods, moving the most people the most affordably, and would set our city on the path to unlocking a whole new world of transit downtown with fast, reliable streetcars 🚈💨

On Monday, I announced my plan to speed up the 506 College streetcar with modern track infrastructure, dedicated space, and signal priority 🚊 I was joined by @chanface.bsky.social, who co-led the development of this plan, and Josh Andrew, the owner of Agenda Cafe.

This weekend, we’re bringing back Sundays in the Park! Come meet our team across the street from Rosedale Station at the Eastern edge of Ramsden Park. We’ll be talking about our plans for a better Toronto, and you can also score one of these ~exclusive Sundays in the Park signs!

What if you could get from Yonge St. to Little Italy in eight minutes? If the 506 streetcar ran as fast as trams worldwide, you could. This shows what College St. could look like in each direction, from Yonge St. to Manning Ave., with room for cars, bikes, and the streetcar 🚊
