Governor Wes Moore

Maryland's Governor. On a mission to #LeaveNoOneBehind.
In just FY2026, we’ve created or preserved over 3,000 affordable rental homes for working families, seniors, and Marylanders who need them most.
Taking this oath isn’t a box to check, but instead the hard work of making the greatest experiment more complete. Yesterday, 250 Maryland National Guard soldiers joined that fight to defend our freedom and preserve our state and country.
Through bipartisan partnership and pure relentlessness, we’re lowering costs for Marylanders. And we’re not stopping now.
Thank you, Blk & Lit Candle Bar, for showing me how to make candles and cologne so I can keep it fresh for my lady🕯️
No child in Maryland should go hungry over the summer just because school is out.
Thank you to Secretary Rothstein for always standing up for and fighting for the over 350,000 veterans and their families all throughout our state.
Maryland’s one of the top five states taking MAJOR actions to reduce rising energy costs. We’re showing what it means to put families before profits.
Faith over fear means doing what many won’t do – raise their right hand to serve their country for those that you haven’t met and may never meet.
From providing food assistance for families and students in the summer to protecting and investing in the ecosystems that make our Chesapeake Bay flourish – we’re delivering for Charles County.
The people waiting for you at home or at work would rather you arrive a few minutes late than not arrive at all.
Together, we move forward to a brighter future. Our unity is our power.
Our country's founding was the greatest experiment in world history. 250 years later, we can recognize that the history of our nation is complicated, and it hasn't been fair to everyone. But patriotism means fighting for the hope of our country – and for a better tomorrow.
Skepticism can be our companion, but we can't allow it to be our captor.
Patriotism asks you to fight for values and an ideal. Nationalism asks you to fight for a person or group. There's a difference, and it matters.
My grandfather gave me one last gift before he passed away: a Bible. Inside, he wrote four words: "Have faith, not fear." Fear is the accelerant of nationalism. Faith is the foundation of patriotism. Let’s choose faith.
On America’s 250th birthday, we remember what true patriotism is about: Service, sacrifice, and working together to protect what it means to be an American.
What we’re seeing from the federal administration at this time is grotesque – but the answer isn’t to forfeit and let it happen.
When we take on the work of patriotism, we become the nation we hope to be.
The United States is still the greatest experiment in world history – and there has been nothing like it since.
The Maryland Energy Administration has filed a complaint to END an unfair utility surcharge that’s costing Maryland families tens of millions of dollars. We won't let big corporations pad their profits on the backs of hardworking Marylanders.
At 11:00 AM tomorrow, I will be addressing our country as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Join me live on our social channels and on Maryland Public Television: https://bit.ly/4av6IbA
No family should have to choose between their utility bill and putting food on the table. We’re putting money back in the pockets of hardworking Marylanders now when they need it the most.
This month, we honor those who fought for disability rights, celebrate the strength, creativity, and identity of our disability community, and recognize the barriers that many disabled Marylanders still face – and our responsibility to keep working to remove them.
No one should have to justify who they love or how they express themselves. As Governor, I’m proud to have helped make Maryland a safe haven for the LGBTQ+ community. Let's keep building the kind of future that those who came before us fought for – and those who come after us deserve.
Maryland is showing up for veterans like Monika at a time when the federal government is leaving them out to dry.
