King of the Hill: Season 14 - I wanted to rewatch the first revival season before diving in to the new one, and yeah - it definitely still holds up as a pretty great revival. It's so great to have these characters back.

Lovesickness - The titular Lovesickness storyline in this one was far and away the best material in this collection, though honestly the rest of the short stories in this one were pretty great too. Even the Hikizuri Siblings stuff was pretty good this time.

My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions - I can't say this spinoff was as good as Vigilantes, but it still gives us more adventures with the MHA gang we know and love, so overall I'd say this is still well worth reading if you're a big fan of the original series.

Cobra Kai - An absolute joy from beginning to end. The overall tone and feel is different from the original movies, but in a way that I think makes the show able to stand on it's own legs as well as continuing the Karate Kid legacy.

The Liminal Zone - Now THIS was a really solid collection of stories. It had a good mix of different types of horror, and it's hard to pick a winner, but I think I'd have to say Demon King of Dust.

Marty, Life is Short - We needed something else short to get through dinner for a few nights, so we decided to give this documentary a shot. It was pretty entertaining, though I don't think I'd say it's as well put together as the Christopher Reeve one was. Still fun though.

Blue Box - Didn't realize I'd forgotten to post about it's end. This was an amazingly good series from the very start. I think it's rom-com aspects were it's best feature, but it even managed to handle not one but TWO different sports pretty good as well. I'm gonna miss this one.

IT'S SO FREAKIN' GOOD. And also has one of my favorite moments that I knew and liked even before I really got into Superman, so imagine my pleasure in finding out that what it was from was amazing.

Oh man, new King of the Hill this month and then new Always Sunny NEXT month?

Seeing a lot of fun guesses on this one, but I'm gonna throw out one that I haven't seen anyone else guess yet that I would absolutely laugh so hard if I was right (though I doubt it). Digimon: X-Evolution.

Frankenstein - If I'm being honest? This might be my least favorite collection of Ito's work I've read so far. Don't get me wrong, his take on Frankenstein itself is GREAT. Neck Specter's pretty great too. The Oshikiri stuff though? Ehh...not a big fan of those stories.

Fragments of Horror - This short batch of more stories was much better IMO. Really enjoyed most of these, with Tomio Red Turtleneck, Gentle Goodbye, and Dissection-chan all sticking out as great.

Deserter - Still a pretty enjoyable read overall, though I do think these apparently earlier works of Ito's aren't quite as good as the ones I read before. Favorites here were probably Where the Sandman Lives and Bullied.

No One: Absolutely No One: Me: "I always liked Sakuya best." (Though Ryoko and Mihoshi were both top tier as well.)

Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story - Wasn't planning on watching this when I did, but we needed something different to watch at dinner for a few nights, and I'm happy to say this hit the mark amazingly.

As someone who doesn't follow real-world soccer, I'm now just sitting here amused as hell by my discovery of the Erling Haaland reactions because while most are going 'Super Buu!', I'm going 'oh shit, it's the 30-year-olds that are actually 14-year-olds in Captain Tsubasa!'.

Oh man, I completely forgot about the late great Ed Asner being in Cobra Kai.

Mass Effect (Legendary Edition) - Yeah, I think it's safe to say after revisiting this that even in just it's first installment, this series is collectively one of my new favorite games. It absolutely held up upon replay, warts and all. Excited to start diving back into ME2 next.

The Karate Kid Part III - While I would probably agree that this is the weakest of the trilogy overall, it's still a solid enough watch, even if marred a little bit by an unshakeable feeling of deja vu about the overall plot beats. Daniel's at his most unlikeable here though.

Alley - This was my first time reading any of Junji Ito's work (or any horror manga, that I can remember anyway), so I wasn't really sure what to expect. Overall? I'm VERY impressed, holy crap. This is stuff easily on par with the likes of Twilight Zone and Tales from the Crypt.

The Karate Kid Part II - It's hard to really compare and contrast this with the first one to say which one I prefer honestly. The story of the first movie is probably tighter, but it also takes a bit to get going. This movie on the other hand feels much better paced.

Spider-Man: Fake Red - Now THAT'S more like it. I didn't know what to expect from this one at first despite knowing it's basic premise, but this one turned out to be really good. I'm just annoyed it wasn't longer and doesn't seem to be getting the teased follow-up.

The Karate Kid - Still holds up as a fun watch. It's a little slow at first admittedly, but once it gets going, you find yourself really getting into it. Miyagi's absolutely the best character here though, Daniel's just enough of an ass to make Cobra Kai work decades later.

Wolverine: Snikt! - This one on the other hand really didn't do anything for me. The art's not bad but not really my cup of tea, and considering we spend more time looking at desolate wastelands than anything happening...yeah, bit of a swing and a miss for me.

Secret Reverse - Honestly can't remember if I'd ever read this one before, but it's basically what you'd expect from 'hey, let's get the author of Yu-Gi-Oh! to do a Marvel story', which...I mean, it's not bad, but it's nothing groundbreaking either. Nice art though.

Some good folks on here, thankful for the people I know and interact with regularly for putting up with me as much as they do.

The Amazing Digital Circus - I'd been getting kind-of interested in this one for a while now, but once I'd heard it was going to be wrapping up shortly, I intentionally waited for it to be done first, and I'm glad I did. Because taken as a whole? Holy crap is it good.
