Andy Foster (Heresy Miniatures)
@heresyminiatures
Some of the greatest indie miniatures that you never heard of, apparently. Glib. Posts a lot of non hobby stuff as well. Not 100% serious
But this has me very interested! A podracing spin-off...
This, however, looks amazing, I assume from a legal POV it's not illustrative of the actual box contents but then why use painted figures in the shot above?
Huh. That...doesn't look appealing. What an odd photograph, too, even the mat is too shiny to see anything. The 4 pipes look lost, like the first battlefield you ever tried to make the terrain for yourself, original scenery had its flaws but all that stuff in the shot looked *exciting*
Let's see how much of this I can get into a mould unbroken. That heat resistant resin is the most brittle stuff so the dark grey stuff is having to be used due to tips breaking off etc
This should have been a line in the trailer and I'd have been Yes This Makes Sense Now
Humans, man. We're the absolute worst and will die choking rather than change anything. This is an actual pic of people watching the Spanish wildfire smoke from a beach. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c5...
Yeah they have to grind each lens to a specific shape to mitigate for various areas of your vision in each eye or something, my prescription was still minimal at last test, one eye is noticeably worse than the other but regular reading glasses do for now
The comments on the YT vid do not bode well for the show... which looks to have abandoned the grimy detective stuff for a war against the robots storyline
Glistening Green! I found a use for it after all this time! I tried to mix the metallic purple from 1989 in to shade it but using all these paints from the bottle is making her look worse with every bobby layer lol (camera also making it worse I swear)
I hope someone who knows how to paint and eg do makeup wants to paint her and send me the pics to use. Top Tip: don't stick the Eldritch Smoke Wisps in the way
1 piece Vs 2 piece casting for Madame in Human guise. Couple of details changes, more hair, altered some folds. The 2 pc version is the one I'm going to turn into metal. Also it turns out I don't have the enthusiasm/skill/paints for painting that I used to but here's 90 minutes of colouring in
Or of course, you can buy stuff like miniatures (or gift vouchers)! heresyminiatures.com/shop or heresyminiatures.etsy.com (EU customers use the EU Collection listing to minimise your duty payment!)
Narrowed it down to these two so far. The Micra has got a fair few scuffs and gouges on the paintwork, but that doesn't bother me. It's remarkably underpriced going by google searches. Got barely anything on its last MOT. The Toyota needed £400 of welding doing, which worries me
MOT fail, need orders please! heresyminiatures.com/shop heresyminiatures.etsy.com or ko-fi.com/heresyandy gofund.me/4b4573b0a
This is the future the tech bros and their cultists want. At long last we have created the Matrix from the film The Matrix etc
Probability maths always boils my brains out of my ears, but the odds of actually winning the new UK Powerball are astronomically small: picking 5 numbers out of 69 AND 1 out of 26? (googled it: 1 in 292.2million, apparently. I can't conceive that number. £4 a pop, too.)
Still need orders or donation, please! Got to MOT the car AND find £400 for loan repayments this Wednesday... heresyminiatures.com/shop heresyminiatures.etsy.com 22% off! ko-fi.com/heresyandy gofund.me/da60c618d #miniatures
I do love a top footballer who just gets fat post football (Ronaldo on the left of pic)
Von Blutgericht has been a challenge to cut and I've ended up slicing bits off and adding them back on again etc. he should fit into the spin cast mould more easily but the curves are a worry in terms of fitting nicely together post-moulding process, when things have unavoidably flattened slightly
Forgot to do ALT TEXT, SORRY. The green fimo picture was a version i whipped up in an hour and a half to illustrate what i intended to do for the model to show kickstarter backers because people often fail to visualise things by description
10 years ago i started sculpting the demonic version of Madame, just realised
Putting on my 4.5x mag glasses to try and see if there's a fucking bicycle in the four pixels at the back of one of the corner photographs (took nine different captchas before it would accept I was human)
If you take the resin casting out of the mould at the right moment, when it's cured just enough, you can make some pretty daring cuts! In theory this would allow me to put Madame into a regular 28mm thick spin cast mould but god knows what the fit would be like after moulding!
