Been a busy few weeks with the day job, after working on a Joe Lycett exhibition at Birmingham Museum last week, and doing site visits for my role as lead AV tech for the forthcoming 'British Art Show' tour for Hayward Gallery. Currently recharging the batteries, reading a few books in the garden. 🌞

+ THAMES TV IDENT + This Yamaha PSS-31 keyboard is from 1992, and belonged to my wife when she was younger. I dusted it off and worked out the notes to the famous TV ident. An omnipresent motif for anyone who grew up in the UK during the 70s & 80s. Which programme does it remind you of?

In my ongoing tests with lightboxes, a few weeks ago I made this for a good friend who has just moved house. He's also a huge fan of The Wicker Man so decided to make this for his hallway, to greet guests as they arrive. Seemed to go down well, as they've messaged saying "You did it beautifully" 🌞.

It glides...and is silent.

Today marks 50 years of 'Protect and Survive'. Brilliant to see Ste from @scarredforlife.bsky.social on BBC Breakfast TV this morning talking about growing up in the shadow of the bomb. Also featured was an amazing piece with Roger Limb discussing the music and sounds he composed for the PIF.
