I think this review from But Why Though confirms everything I needed to know. Good lord.
That's Busy Fairy. The one I named Smug Fairy should probably be named Blue Fairy instead.
@pokealltoads.bsky.social I put two fairies on my island and one immediately crushed on the other. Is this canon?
I got a lot of negative feedback on the stickers, so I invested some time into making the ink stamps look good. Shout-out to @iibo.games for putting together a Substance pipeline for this!
More work on level backgrounds. I also added the ability to skip levels, and replaced the stamps for level completion with cute little stickers.
This is exactly how I did it for my HL2 map Crown Shyness, even down to the Amber coloring. There's multiple of these screens in the map but only one camera, so I designed the layout to keep two of them from being in line of sight.
Instead of doing the last bit of playtesting and iteration that the game needs, I've been writing a new editor feature so I can layer in nice watercolor / marbling textures by @purenonsens.bsky.social. Still more work to do to get this looking as good as it can.
Happy TDOV! Here's some insane bed head I got the other day. I don't need money but today would be a great day to support the other trans people in your life, money or otherwise.
Hydro is very much a level design for level designers kind of map. This little area has served as endless inspiration for me - "leftover" space that remains playable, and what seems like a little bit of evidence of the building being modified over time.
The free demo for Clover's Quadrants is now live on Steam!!! Link in the replies. The demo has 21 select puzzles from the first three chapters. Expect about an hour of playtime.
The music for Clover's is procedurally arranged, comprised of hundreds of audio files. I spent this weekend arranging the whole thing into a standalone soundtrack, which comes out to about 50 minutes long. Also put together a working album cover.
