It's still practiced in some sense but when you can talk to eachother normally it's generally considered rude to be so outright about it... It's also probably not a good idea to do that to a critter who's body is a handful of knives stuffed into a fur body ^^;

fire is usually the go-to. simple and relatively versatile though being able to summon knives is fun!
