Storyteller. Debut novella I Can See Your Lies via Dark Matter Ink and debut horror feature, House of Ashes, both 2024. 💀
A supreme birthday breakfast! Legitimate bread pudding made by our innkeeper, who has roots in New Orleans, and it shows.
Need a little catharsis? Sick of it all? In the mood for a weird, partially liminal ghost story that reflects the gutter this country resides in? I’m delighted to announce that House of Ashes is now on TUBI! Massive thanks again to all who had a part in bringing this film from script to screen.
Finally saw TOUGH GUYS DON’T DANCE. Holy shit. If you’re looking for something batshit to distract you from this hellhole, look this one up. This movie got made.
Meat Friend loves you, Children! Don’t forget to carry your shiv in case of emergencies.
A horror movie currently at theaters that is so fucking awesome, I wish I had come up with the premise.
www.imdb.com/title/tt1528... Marama was incredible. Try to see it on the big screen. Insane score and mix that becomes an oppressive character in itself. Gorgeous and steeped in dread. The lead is unbelievably talented. And Māori gothic revenge on colonial white guys!
Those are so fun! Here’s mine from a few years ago; say hi to the Meat Friend wearing a Panic Fest shirt in the lobby at the second concession stand!
It was a surprise & a delight to watch the 1,000 Women in Horror doc on @shudder.com and see this rad group shot of women filmmakers I was in taken at the Egyptian Theatre in 2016 Etheria Film Night. Thanks to @honeycuttheidi.bsky.social and @horrornonna.com for everything, fighting always. 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻
This movie absolutely fucking rules. It’s directed and shot so well and it’s metal AF. 🤘🏻💀🤘🏻 Honestly, the best of the bunch in that world. Nia DaCosta continues to knock it out of the park.
Rewatched the OG Cape Fear & WOW — the sustained tension alone makes it visceral as Hell. Feels like menacing theatre. No way audiences were ready for such confrontational filmmaking such as this — which is exactly why the craft on display wasn’t recognized. This film should have given Oscars.
Putting on It’s Alive 3: Island of the Alive, because I just can’t take any more of this shit called reality
Absolutely surreal. My first feature, House of Ashes, is now on VOD at outlets like Fandango, Amazon, Vudu, and Direct TV. It’s been a very long journey to get here. I couldn’t have done it without the efforts and talents of a great team. Forever grateful for everyone’s support.
I’m back in MA! Tomorrow at the Merrimack Valley Halloween Book Festival, I’ll be slinging novellas, chapbooks, anthologies, and maybe a little more, with a whole bunch of friends. Saturday, October 18, 2025 Haverhill Public Library, 99 Summer Street, Haverhill MA 01830 Event Times: 10 -4
I’m deeply honored House of Ashes is in the OCT FANGORIA magazine. Fango inspired so many of us to join the industry and create our own stories. Subscribers get it now; the issue with Frankenstein on 10/14. Thank you to @philnobilejr.bsky.social for this gift. I have to go lie down.
A mini interview I did with Charlotte Film Festival about the sadly relevant story within House of Ashes. Full interview: charlottefilmfestival.org/2025/2025/09...
My House of Ashes lead Fayna Sanchez is a presenter at this year’s @fangoria.bsky.social Chainsaw Awards! Her performance is formidable and I AM SUCH A PROUD DIRECTOR and friend! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Very proud of my team. Another massive congrats to Sophia Cacciola for her second win for Best Cinematography and to Antoine Lamothe for his first win for Best Score, both via GenreBlast 2025 for my first feature, House of Ashes. Congratulations!!
Happy 50th birthday to one of the coolest people on the planet —@crobertcargill.bsky.social! Thank you for being such a rad friend and co-producer. I hope your day is filled with friends, fun, and fine food. Miss ya!
Gearing up to head to GenreBlast, where House of Ashes has 8 nominations—and the Winchester, VA Alamo Drafthouse came up with a spicy tequila drink that they named after my film! 🤩🥃🤩
