Not to be outdone is the RCN Stadacona Navy Band dangit...didn't hit video but trust me they were laying down some serious disco.
Flight radar shows 5 at work. Smaller versions than the usual water bombers, but still helpful!
The more industrial view from the lab on a glorious morning. Ah... the Chem labs!
Well that's a weather radar with serious lightning storms. Best get home soon...wherever you are ..
I may not be at #esriUC2026 but I always have the UC with me ....kinda suits me, right?
NOAA CPC ENSO Strength Probabilities (July 2026) October-Dec 81% probability of "very strong" El Nino Key difference between 2023 and 2026? The starting point for the temp anomaly is higher this year. Keep an eye on this as moves through summer in NHemi www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/ana...
Temp. anomaly 2026 Year-to-Date vs Previous Years. 2023-2024 big El Nino year. 2023 ended 2nd warmest; 2024 ended up warmest year. 2026 El Nino expected to surpass 2023-24 and modelled severe Oct-Dec lasting to Spring '27 2026 rise starting 'slow like' 2023, right? This is climate change.
Yeah...that's kinda a statement to but the fear inta ya. I love this team.
Google logo for today. GO CANADA!! Due to this commitment, I will be posting all the fun that will come from what is sure to be a historic occasion for them! So expect a wee little unusual impolite patriotism as I wear my Canada cap! :-) and #14 Shaffelburg is #NovaScotian #WorldCup2026 #CanadaMNT
It's Thursday. Just another day on vacation. Dental appointment. I do not mind it at all (never a phobia). But tremors make work in one's mouth most interesting :-) Still....lots of work to do! 🤣🤣🤪
Warmed ya. Can't have a parade in Nova Scotia without pipes and drums. Sweetest sound. If you've never seen a mass band in a tattoo... check it out.
The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo is on right now. International bands like the German Bundeswehr Ceremonial Band. (Yes...im going to post pipes and drums )
Not a Canada Day without some Mounties in full dress. Probably coolest most recognizable uniform anywhere. Happy Canada Day!
And they're off! With Canada first through. From here on in...it's all gravy and glory!
Ok Halifax. Someone's taking the piss. Each line is a "crosswalk closed sign. Someone is playing a joke. Can't get to anywhere at Park Lane or that block of SGR. So technically, to get into the mall or the shops (like Jen of NS) you need to go around the block. C'mon....really? Ah Halifax...
Social media age restriction policies globally. Link to article and description in Alt text. "Tech firms are losing the public’: social media age bans near tipping point" It will be interesting to track progress of different approaches.
How many in Atlantic Canada have the same pet peeve about times for events/broadcasts are always ET....even when the ad is for a team from Halifax in the Atlantic Time Zone?!!
Whenever at Aunt or Uncles in UK, I get (no choice) to read Sun, Mirror, Independent and the local "paper." Outside UK, never do. But this was funny; shows how Ai can't write worth shite. Either that or the editorial standards at the Sun have gone down. Scotland World Cup? Not likely...but..
Nice house ya got Skippy. You're welcome, seeing as we pay for it and the supporting staff. He could've gone 'high' but chose 'low' and hypocritical. Just search for other G20 or G7 leaders residences are like? Carney will never live in it, and neither will PP. Maybe that's why he's annoyed?
A Friday Fog Bank meets a crisp blue sky. Always neat to see tops of buildings in cool mist while im in the heat of sunshine. Waving at my colleagues in Marine Affairs. Top floor where the angled glass is. Best views in worst 1970s brutalist buildings. Did not like teaching in that one.
From FIFA site Jonathan David is the first player to score a World Cup hat-trick on home soil since England's Geoff Hurst in the 1966 final!
However long this lasts, I'm savoring it. Canada on top of their group!!
