My dog is multimodal today, but I guess it doesn't count as a triathlon unless she can ride the bike herself
Tandem update, I delivered it to Oasis this week. Tough to say goodbye to this one after a lot of good miles with the kiddo... hopefully somebody else will appreciate it like we did!
Required reading I didn't know Spuds was really a Chicago(land) dog en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spuds_M...
This venue has an old train station in the background and the 3 and 7 buses pass on the bridge right behind it. And also Devon Gilfillian.
Hey TN peeps! I need to rehome a vintage Santana tandem (late 90s) in rideable condition. 3x8 mixed drivetrain, with the third (optional) drag brake. I don't care about selling it I just want to avoid the scrap heap. I have a car rack for it too, and (I think) an adapter for little kids. LMK!
This is the location. Medium density. There's lots of weird stuff tucked away by rail right of ways when you look around closely. maps.app.goo.gl/L8PLE3SR7pMz...
You could've just said "I meant that *some* people find this guy entertaining and think he's smart" and moved on, but by not using a qualifier you assert the general case as being objectively true, or at least imply he's up *your* alley.
Yep! And weirdly even specifies a cycle track West End Ave which does not have enough room to do anything without a road diet. No idea how feasible the that's going to be. I put in purple my interpretation of where they want cycle tracks/bike lanes. They appear slightly "more green" in the doc.
This has more detail about the Vanderbilt expansion... There's some interesting stuff in here, including a cycle track on the impacted section of 31st?? But it ends short of West End so it won't connect to the extant bike lanes north of there 😭 Would rather see a road diet on 31st/Blakemore
"Your assessment is correct" (me begging gemini for help finding bus routes in google maps web...)
I think this *might* be the start of construction on the MUP that will connect the park interior to the intersection of Park / 31st! I don't have a current plan but it's shown on this older one.
Yep... these guys absolutely know who they're marketing to and I won't patronize them bsky.app/profile/jere...
Oh no, how'd I miss this? I've enjoyed giving these to people as gifts - and could justify the price of doing so - specifically because they were made in NC. The rapidly expanding product line should've probably been a giveaway though... new colors? Mini-bumi? Chairs????
My 2019 Railsconf shirt finally has too many holes to keep, so I'm taking one last photo before it heads to the landfill. It was a great conference in a great city... and arguably better days for software development, or at least for the craft of programming.
