IDK i just find the old pre-1.18 style generation more fun in game. The 1.18+ style feels too... structured? like someone took a paintbrush and was just drawing it in
while i don't believe that the reception and ultimate failure+abandonment was "deserved," i do think there's something to be said for going from what made your video game unique to chasing trends that were already stale
