Greetings from Geneva, where I’ve been encouraged to meet so many people fighting tuberculosis and other diseases of injustice. I have also been horrified and outraged to learn more about the death and suffering directly caused by the US abandoning human health initiatives. Hard days.

Just met with some lovely folks who until recently worked at USAID and their implementing partners. Moving, heartbreaking, and enraging to hear the long-term impacts and wasted potential of our sudden, chaotic abandonment of global health aid.
It was really encouraging to be with so many wonderful folks in Boston today to celebrate the release of Everything Is Tuberculosis. I am especially grateful to Ophelia Dahl and Vidya Krishnan for leading our discussions with such depth and generosity of spirit. On the train to NYC now!
