It was great to attend the parliamentary screening of the film I Swear last week, alongside Horsham resident Paul Stanworth, who has Tourette’s syndrome himself and was involved in organising the event.

✍️ I've written to Sussex Police to push for further measures to stop local street racing and anti-social car meets. I share the frustration at the disruption these dangerous gatherings continue to cause and want to see proper action to tackle the problem.

On Thursday, I held a Parliament debate in memory of the extraordinary Dr Susan Michaelis. Susan founded the Horsham-based organisation, the Lobular Moon Shot Project and campaigned tirelessly to improve outcomes for women with lobular breast cancer.

Brilliant to be at the Funday Sunday in Horsham Park and meet people at my pop-up surgery stall. Thank you to the Horsham Rotary club and others for putting on such a great event once again!

It was great to visit The Forest School on Thursday, and also delighted to welcome two Forest students to my office for work experience this week!

🗣️ In Parliament recently, I highlighted the potential to expand Horsham Hospital into a neighbourhood health hub to help address the lack of a general hospital in our area. We should be investing in local healthcare that improves access for patients, and I will continue to push for this.

Congratulations to England on reaching the last 16 in the World Cup! ⚽ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 I've written to the Home Secretary to find a practical solution that would give fans somewhere to watch the match together for the 1am kick off, and support our much-loved local hospitality businesses.

The Amos Review into maternity services has been published today. We're calling on the government to implement its recommendations in full, invest in safe staffing, and ensure women are listened to. Families deserve safe, compassionate maternity care wherever they live.

Today, on #ArmedForcesDay, we pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of all those who have served and continue to serve in our Armed Forces. I was proud to attend the Armed Forces Week Flag Raising Ceremony in Parliament on Monday and speak with Royal Navy personnel about the work they do.

Happy Pride Month! 🌈 As Liberal Democrats, we will continue to stand up for LGBTQ+ communities and push for a fairer, more inclusive society for everyone.

Today marks 10 years since the Brexit referendum. Now is an important moment to reflect honestly on where we are as a country and how we can build better ties with our European neighbours.

🚆 Local train services can't keep suffering from the same delays and cancellations year after year. I challenged the government to finally make progress on the Croydon bottleneck and deliver the rail upgrades passengers have been promised for far too long.

🗣️ NHS dentistry is becoming increasingly difficult to access. In Parliament, I raised the impact this is having on patients in Horsham, from people being removed from dental registers to others travelling hours for treatment.

🗣️ Battery energy storage will play a vital role in supporting renewable energy and strengthening our energy security. But we must ensure safety standards keep pace. I'm pleased the Secretary of State acknowledged the issue and agreed that further discussions are needed.

🗣️ In Parliament, I've raised the case of a Horsham couple who are trapped in a Home Office bureaucracy nightmare. Despite acting in good faith and doing everything they could to comply with the rules, they now face months left in limbo with the visa system.

Good to catch up with the team at Men's Shed and MenShare in Swan Walk. These fantastic local organisations are helping tackle loneliness, support mental wellbeing and bring people together through practical activities such as woodworking and community projects.

✍️ I've written to the Education Secretary to raise serious concerns about how dyslexia and specialist literacy support will fit within the government's proposed SEND reforms.

Good to be back in Westminster after last week's recess! The government has brought forward a raft of legislation for this new parliamentary session following the King's Speech, beginning today with the second reading of the Health Bill.
