brin suggested writing how all my girls would react to the same scenario and i am having fun i am learning :>

1. SCENARIO: Someone bumps into them by accident.

• Reece: Apologizes and fixates on it for an hour.

• Lolly: Laughs it off and hip checks them playfully.

• Lindy: Barely noticed it to begin with. Continues on.

• Mara:
Option 1: She is very dense and for the person, it’s as though they bumped into a brick wall. She continues on while they’re rubbing their shoulder from the bruise.

Option 2: She frowns, her energy spent correcting her own stumble, similar to a robot dog righting itself. Her light smile returns once back to normal and continues on.

• Kenji: Initially shoots a shrewd look sizing up the person. If they’re not a threat, she recovers and waves at them to let them know it’s OK.

2. SCENARIO: They are working minimum-wage retail and a customer asks, “Can you check in the back?”

• Reece: “Actually I was just there and it wasn’t…” At another press, she goes and checks for them anyway.

• Lolly: She takes their hand in her own. Her highly manicured nails shine as she grips their hand lightly. She smiles. “No.”

• Lindy: “Oh, no, we ran out a while ago. Rotten luck, sweetie!” She has a pretty good idea of what’s there.

• Mara: Her eyes briefly glow blue, white, green, white, blue, white, in rapid succession. She blinks and closes her eyes to her natural resting smile. “It’s been checked. You’ll find the inventory remains zero.”

• Kenji:
Option 1: Calls over a cute coworker. “Could you check the back for this? Absolutely, take your time—thanks, doll.” Kenji deals with another customer in the meantime.

Option 2: To the customer. “Listen, pal, I told you it’s not there. It’s not there. Don’t be that person.”

3. SCENARIO: They discover their favorite treat in a shared fridge. It’s somebody else’s, and there’s only one left.

• Reece: Sneaks a bite in a way that isn’t obvious. Later that day she tries to take another subtle bite. This continues until she’s had it all. She buys a new pack to replace it out of guilt.

• Lolly: Believes that this most definitely was intended as a gift for her and delights in it as such.

• Lindy: Leaves it. It’s probably bad for her blood sugar, anyway.

• Mara: Eats it all right then and there in front of the fridge.

• Kenji: Swallows the temptation down and leaves it. Maybe she can convince the person to give it to her later…
