Nobody gets on any more. Fertility is not high enough to sustain the population. So it would decline again. Hope this nonsense gets rejected tomorrow. I voted.
The Ωcc⁺ is hadron number 85 found at the LHC. 75 have been found by LHCb. 31 are three-quark baryons, of which only three are weakly decaying (the other ones are excited states that decay via a strong interaction). The full list is at www.koppenburg.ch/particles.html . /end
Completely done? There is the triply charmed Ωccc⁺⁺ that lives on top of the other multiplet. It is still missing and it will take time to find it. It decays to the Ωcc⁺ and a pion, so it's maybe already in the data we are looking at. But well hidden.
And now we introduce the charm-charm-strange Ωcc⁺ . It was presented at the Beauty conference in Maastricht today indico.cern.ch/event/159545... .
The singly charged sibling with a down quark was reported earlier this year, based on 2024 to 25 data. The LHCb experiment has been upgraded in the meantime, which allowed for the discovery.
