Answer: yes. He just doesn't often play handsome characters
9 blueberry bushes in the yard earning their keep! This is 2 people, 15 minutes of picking, each 12 oz container from a single 4 foot high bush
If all goes to plan, this will be a Kabocha squash in a few months. First visible fruit!
I was trying to decide whether to go to Portugal with S over my birthday and did a tarot reading. In the center is the decision, crossed by the complication, the two paths on the bottom, and advice along the top.
My coach just pointed out that this puts me 5th in world rankings for this year (starting in March). I'm sure it will drop over the year but no one can take this screenshot away from me #rowing
We are having elote tonight among other things and I can't stop thinking of this meme
You can turn the tongue in and then it's a mouth 👄 Truly, this is too much power for one woman
Did I knit a tongue too? I did! Eldrich horror summer, baybee!!
#Knitting this, I may have experienced something like what Victor Frankenstein did when he created life. Glee, joy, intoxication with my godlike power... I'm not sure I'll ever knit anything without putting an eye on it again
Carnitas now cooling enough to be frozen, also separating fat and juice. This is only half the fat and juice
I must post my favorite LOTR meme because of this
Anniversary baseball, Somerset Patriots at Manchester Fishercats. @wandrme.paxex.aero warned me the Fishercats are small and he is not wrong. They all appear to be short kings
Also goth. I named them The Night because of the meme below and then felt like I wanted to put them in black masc clothes and now I've changed their official pronouns
Proof! (A video of me rowing a single with blue skies and blue water)
Just finished reading The Once and Future Sex by @goingmedieval.bsky.social. If you're interested in the history of women in society, it's fascinating, approachable, and entertaining
The hood and front of this top down raglan sweater require 11" of garter stitch and ISTG it's been stuck at 2" despite weeks of #knitting. (The rows are about 5' long, and it is in light fingering on size 3 needles. But still!)
THE TREES WERE HAVING TOO MUCH SEX WHILE WE WERE GONE
I saw this ad on the subway and it seems to capture everything that's wrong with this LLM push. If you truly think the point of the meeting is just to produce notes, then don't have the meeting. The stuff this wants you to skip over is the point.
I also resist cute things, because this (see below) is me, but I am probably depriving myself of joy with this attitude
Someone posted this in my work slack a few years ago
I wish otherwise good articles wouldn't just repeat this. We don't know what parts of the training inform what output because they didn't build any traceability, but we do know how the systems work. This is disingenuous fearmongering
Oh my god. Our current rulers and tech overlords would absolutely do this if they could. (From the excellent The Eagle and the Hart by Helen Castor)
I'm going to stop doom scrolling and get back to reading this book about a petulant, narcissistic, vengeful, petty ruler who surrounded himself with sycophants and nearly bankrupted his country. This one's got a happy ending though!
I foolishly thought the eggs in my in-law's refrigerator were edible. I did think it was weird how many were oddly thick, with discolored whites. Smelled fine tho and I found some that behaved okay. Sure hope I don't suffer for this.
