Orginal loading screen artist Bob Stevenson also did this and called it "Starglider" more recently. Nice work!
#LogLoads64 Starglider It's a very well known game. I think I had it on the #C64? I just checked and I do not have it now. But lordy lordy it's slow as friggin' puddin', man. PUDDING! There are many more 3D games out there that run faster. Would a modern #IndieDev be able to get Starglider singing?

#MorningAwnings! The Hump Day has landed. May the hump dene be soft underneath your botty 'n' bits and if you're lucky and you have additional humpage to grasp onto, may it be fragrant and inviting, like the entranceway to a good subterranean Java Bar in the Noon-day sun, in Nagrand. DUNG!
Two chaps at a company called Datamost did a version of the game a full 3 years before the more established software house (Bug Byte above) released theirs - which is better? Well, we will have to wait for @fuzzweed.co.uk to play "Ardy the Aardvark" to find out..! Sweet Baby Tuesday...
#LogLoads64 Aardvark The old adage "be careful where you poke your tongue; you never know what you might find" is never truer than with this #C64 game. Sort of. This is all @fuzzweed.co.uk's fault, but then again - what isn't? I have found 2 (two!) almost identical Orycteropus games outlined below!
There is a rather nifty animated intro and then this serves as the "base" screen for the game. I cannot see *any* reviews for the C64 version of the game, but - it looks to be a set of 3 mini games. Does anyone recall actually ever playing it?
#LogLoads64 DuckTales: The Quest for Gold And again, we open the door to another HA:NP #C64 game and this one a strange money-making mini-game cartoon tie-in. Has anyone actually played this? The loading screen is great and the production values in the game are similarly of a high value. Cash Grab.
#CommodreFormat (Chase HQ II cover fetaure) couldn't get past the single combatant drawback - many agreed. 88%. But sweet Jackson Chinery - that's a lovely-looknig spread!
#LogLoads64 Reloaded Golden Axe Probe did some cracking games on the #C64 from the late 80s+ and the arcade conversion of GA is one of them. Granted, there are two massive detractions: no 2PLY and only 1 enemy on screen at a time (for the whole game), but, as a 1PLY Hack 'n' Slash - it's still ace.
@commodoreofficial.bsky.social - you seen this before? Any of the #C64U Crew seen this? That's what appears (consistently) when scanning for wireless APs. 👀 Pick the meat of that. #C64 #C64Ultimate
I friggin' KNEW #Zzap! had reviewed it! Thanks @commodoreformat.bsky.social for being a legend! www.zzap64.co.uk/cgi-bin/disp...
#LogLoads64 Reloaded The Sentinel There was a "drop an Archer" thing going around here and instead I thought I'd segue to another Legend (capital "L"): Geoffrey Crammond. This game is so bonkers good, it almost hurts. And just *LOOK* at that eye! The boxart / everything. A true CLASSIC #C64 game. 👀
#EveningStevens! Massive Jar of PIMMs = Pool Submersion Dares. Foolish. In you come as well then. Just Shithorning® the photo context into a post that simply has the intended question: does this evening feel like a Saturday evening to you too..? #DiscombobulationStations 💃 Huzzar!
#LogLoads64 Hot Wheels Well I never. And I didn't - anothoer #C64 game I have never ever played and for good reason. This is a pile of horse shit. What is even gonig on here..?If anyone has played this and it seems even vaguely "okay" please let me know. For me - it's Gashtastic, mate. (It's hot)
#EveningStevens! Evening #PIMMs O'clock I think it is! And a BBQ! HAPPY Friday!!!!! Soon. Tomorrow. AND NOW! Both! Exclaims!!! Yahahahahahahahaaaaah!
#CommodoreFormat issue 18 (Indy Heat cover feature) is, granted, far too late in the day to be reviewing the game "proper" and rightly so, thus, their 5 skulls of out 5 review is part of an "Adventure Round Up" in 1992. Nice. TBH, there is plenty even to comment on in this feature. Gauntlet III?!?!!
#LogLoads64 Champions of Krynn If I haven't said it before: I loves me a bit of #Dragonlance. Always have and always will. The games that made their way to the #C64 are either good (like this) or bad (like HotL). This brilliant game engine by SSI effectively allowed them to make lots of fast cash.
#CommodoreFormat in issue 3 (Chase HQ II cover) seemingly liked the game and I cannot find a #Zzap! review for it anywhere? Have I just missed it? I literally just read this through in my actual physical (original 1991!) issue of CF3. Halcyon Days. Interesting they didn't mention the music..?
