It’s my birthday! Level 45! Fun fact: I was born on July 17, 1981, right between Donkey Kong’s arcade debut in Japan (July 9, 1981) and its U.S. release (July 31, 1981). Maybe I was destined to love video games. (Photo of me as a kid in the early 90s)
I’m so glad Amoeba Music is still around. It reminds me so much of Tower Records and those days of going to the music store to buy physical albums and movies. At least I can still come here and get that same feeling. Thanks for keeping that experience alive, Amoeba Hollywood.
The Sega Time Traveler arcade machine was incredibly rare to see in the wild. Growing up in North Jersey, I was lucky enough to have one at Sports World, and seeing one again recently at Barcade in Highland Park, CA brought back memories. Did anyone else ever get to play one?
As a kid, I dreamed of making the Video Power Prize Round and racing through that Velcro mall grabbing games. Who else wanted a shot?
I always loved the vibe of 16-bit sports games. This is David Robinson's Supreme Court. #basketball
Wrestling games have given us so many incredible memories over the years. What’s the first one that pops into your head?
Panzer Dragoon is such a unique and fascinating series. Did you ever play it?
The NFL 2K series blew me away when it first reeleased on the Dreamcast. How about you?
It was an honor to talk about my all-time favorite console, the Sega Saturn, during Sega's Sonic 35th Birthday Party stream. Full clip is now on my YouTube! 💙🎮 youtu.be/JJEjKF2k87A?...
