I just spent a few hours at the biannual Cuba Dupa street festival in my home city of Wellington NZ. Apparently the young people in my city still love a live show! Nice to be reminded that music by humans isn’t going anywhere ❤️

So my take is that prejudice and conflict are certainly universal, but racism - despite what I was taught growing up, which was that it was a form of ignorance or prejudice - is actually a more specific and modern belief system or doctrine. This is its original meaning, not a new one.
