Proud to fight for working people as the Representative for Rhode Island's Second Congressional District.
An Afghan ally who served alongside U.S. troops, had no criminal record, and was legally brought into the United States died within 24 hours of being taken into ICE custody. ICE is blocking the release of the autopsy. This is horrific. We need the autopsy results now.
My floor speech on the latest ICE killings. We are not going to be silent. We are not going to forget. Until there is justice.
Two more people have been shot and killed by ICE this week. Here is what we are going to do about it.
Flooding during heavy rainfall has long been a problem in Rhode Island. I secured more than $1 million of funding for Cranston to address flooding in the Garden Street area and I will continue to bring home federal funding to improve our state.
The Work Opportunity Tax Credit helps businesses hire people who often face barriers to employment, including veterans and people living with disabilities. I am proud to support legislation to increase the amount of the credit and expand the program to include military spouses.
Trump and his family have made $2 billion in just one year while working people are struggling with: The cost of healthcare High housing costs Rising grocery prices This economy is working for the ultra-wealthy and the well-connected. Not working people.
Congratulations to Cranston's Kevin Rodriguez on his run on American Ninja Warrior! Rhode Island is proud of you and will be cheering you on.
I am joining my CHS Dem colleagues to find the truth about the death of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. A father of 3 was shot and killed by ICE while driving to work. He wasn’t the person they were looking for. ICE statements don't match witness accounts. Now they're pressuring witnesses to self-deport.
Nearly every country guarantees vacation time for all workers. We should too. Let’s pass my PTO Act and finally deliver vacation fairness in the workplace!
Rhode Island has a proud manufacturing legacy, and it continues today in towns across our state. I enjoyed touring A&H Manufacturing in Johnston and talking about the importance of supporting the next generation of skilled manufacturing workers to keep that tradition strong.
I am honored to serve as the inaugural Vice Chair of the Historic Preservation Caucus to advocate for preserving the places that have shaped our nation's history.
High school students interested in attending one of our nation's outstanding service academies can apply for a congressional nomination through my office. Applications are now open through October. Learn more here. ⬇️ magaziner.house.gov/services/mil...
Fans from around the world are coming to the US for the World Cup because their countries guarantee paid vacation for all workers. We need this in the US! That's why I introduced the PTO Act to guarantee vacation for all Americans.
Thank you to the residents of All American Assisted Living in Warwick for welcoming me today. To make Rhode Island better for seniors, I am focused on lowering costs, protecting the ability to retire with dignity, and ensuring older Rhode Islanders have the support they deserve.
For decades, residents in Cranston's Garden Street area have dealt with flooding that has left behind debris and threatened homes. Today, we celebrated $1M+ I was able to secure to improve drainage and prevent future flooding.
Today I met with Rhode Islanders from the National Alliance to End Homelessness to discuss how we can better support our most vulnerable neighbors. Everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home.
America turns 250, and the Ancients and Horribles Parade in Chepachet turns 100! It was great to join everyone for another year of this one-of-a-kind Rhode Island tradition.
The oldest Fourth of July parade in the country never disappoints. 🇺🇲 So meaningful to celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary with Rhode Islanders at the Bristol Fourth of July Parade. Happy 4th!
Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸 As America celebrates 250 years of independence, may we continue striving to build a country that lives up to the ideals of freedom, democracy, and opportunity for all. #America250
USA Today just named Providence as the 2nd most walkable city in America for the third year in a row. 🏆
Huge thanks to my amazing sometimes-constituents Taylor and Travis for this incredible donation. Grateful for their support for Rhode Island.
How did a Rhode Island painter become one of the most lasting figures of the American Revolution? The answer may be in your pocket. In the latest installment of my #America250 series, I'm highlighting Gilbert Stuart and one of RI-02's great contributions to U.S. history.
Thank you to the more than 10k Rhode Islanders who joined my telephone town hall tonight. Hearing directly from the people I represent is one of the most important parts of this job, and I'm grateful to everyone who participated and made their voices heard.

National Parks are America's best idea. That's why I was proud to help pass the Great American Outdoors Act through the House Natural Resources Committee to secure funding to maintain our national parks and ensure they can be enjoyed for years to come.
RI formed one of the most remarkable fighting units of the American Revolution: the 1st Rhode Island Regiment. The next video in our series on the top five ways RI-02 contributed to the Revolution tells their story. #America250
