Every time I feel vaguely ok about social media after having a Good Time I do something stupid like open a player’s comments to see the top one is a “supporter” saying something outrageous and negative to the player. I’m tired man, these people aren’t normal. Toss their phones until we sort it out.

Fundamentally unhinged stuff:

Grok allowed the man to generate extreme images depicting incest and rape without flagging any harmful behavior, the complaint said. Seemingly, xAl's child safety system only intervened after the man input a prompt for
"gang rape." That request sent a CyberTip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), which alerted law enforcement to the AI CSAM.
Yet the harm was not stopped then, either.
Despite mandatory reporting requirements to share information like a user's IP address when
CSAM is flagged, xAI repeatedly refused to help cops or NCMEC identify the user, the complaint alleged. For weeks, xAl allegedly "obstructed this investigation at every turn" and made it harder for "law enforcement efforts to locate, identify, and apprehend the perpetrator"
Eventually, the stepfather was arrested after cops obtained a warrant to seize his devices.
That's when "a forensic review revealed approximately 7,000 Al-generated images and videos" depicting his stepdaughter, which were allegedly produced using Grok. Without Grok providing users with easy access to
"undressing" capabilities

Uh anyway apropos of nothing, I’m about a third of the way through this (completely familiar and completely horrifying) book and I really recommend you read it. I’ve got an audiobook from my local library. Especially, I feel, important for men to read it.

my hate review of the shrouds got knocked off my letterboxd profile to make way for my hate review of MELANIA, but I really need everyone to know that I saw MELANIA in a way that is the highlight of my life:

Let me set the scene: you and a friend want to go to a showing of a well-regarded Chinese release from 2025, but when you get there it's completely full. You check movie times at the closest theater just to see if there's anything playing soon that you could go to instead. No...unless? Unless Melania?? Fuck it, we're unserious people. Drive.

We get to the theater and approach the ticket desk.

"We'd like to see Melania, but the cheapest possible way ideally."
The person at the desk didn't miss a beat. "Do you want to just go in? I can tell you what theater it is." What a hero. Turned the screen so we could see which seats were open as well.

Anyway, this was hilariously bad. Up there with The Room for laughs. Incredibly unconvincing acting when politely thanking staff. Introduced us to the concept to "greige" as a color.

I hear that the crime rate in the US has been going up. Is that true? Do you feel safe there?
I also hear that there are people who feel unsafe in the UK now. I know that there have been protests against the UK government's immigration policy in London and other cities.

Love nothing more than a new ground, me. Up the Reds of course but it was grand to see Dundee FC.

The away end of Falkirk fans absolutely packed into the Bob Shankly Stand while a corner happens in front of them. Some seats empty in the dunkirk south paddock, though they lack backs — just literal seats atop what was clearly a standing area

Fans look on as Dunkirk line up to take a penalty. The home end is sparse in comparison to the away end, though as the attendance was over 6000 spread over the four ends they did fine really. Floodlight prominent.
